in the international transport industry
We are a Swiss customs agency, certified as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), operating in the international transportation industry since the 1980s. With an extensive network of partners and clients across Switzerland and Europe, we have grown into a multi-specialized operator, providing solutions in exceptional transportation and customs clearance services. Since the mid-1990s, we have implemented radiometric control services for ferrous materials intended for the Italian market, covering both road and rail transportation, and providing the issuance of corresponding IRME90 certificates.
With our cutting-edge infrastructure and highly skilled team members, we provide exceptional customs consultancy and premium-quality services, ensuring successful outcomes for every worldwide shipment and customs procedure.
In 2019 we have installed a radio scanner portal, establishing ourselves as the exclusive provider of this advanced service in the Italian region of Switzerland. Our radio scanner portal has unmatched precision and reliability, representing the pinnacle of technological innovation. It features sensitivity levels up to 200 times higher than traditional handheld devices.
The Radiometric portal is located in Chiasso and is accessible directly from the highway ramp leading to the yard in front of the commercial customs at Chiasso-Strada. This designated lane is regulated by a traffic light controlling access and monitored by surveillance cameras, allowing vehicles to enter directly into the parking area.
When the green light activates, the truck needs to be driven at a low speed into the portal to allow for detailed measurement of the radiometric levels. The measurement procedure is managed by a software that processes the data collected during the transit and properly fills in the IRME90 form to be reviewed and approved from our EDR.
The IRME 90 form is now ready for validation by our Radiation Protection Expert (EDR), the only qualified professional authorized to oversee and monitoring sources of ionizing radiation. Furthermore, a comprehensive report is generated, detailing the radiometric profile of the cargo, accompanied by photographs ot the vehicle’s license plates.
In addition to duty collection, the foremost responsibility of customs is ensuring adherence to customs regulations, which is crucial for regulating the flow of goods in both imports and exports.
The customs process begins in the country of origin and concludes in the country of destination. With over four decades of experience in managing and advising on customs matters, combined with our neutrality, we have become the premier partner for transportation between Italy and Switzerland. We provide freight carriers with efficient and professional support for clearing shipments globally.
